The Annual Helping Hands Back to School Run will be held on August 28 2010 at 12PM. Riders will meet in the Midland Valley Shopping Plaza (Bilo Parking Lot) in Clearwater SC.
From Gerry Lynn: I gave out fliers for the Vote No to the School Bond Referendum. This special Election will be on May 25 If this passes your primary house taxes will go up 4%, car, motorcycle, car, boat, etc will go up 6%, rental and commercial property will go up 6%. This special election is costing the county $40,000. They could have waited and put this on the November ballot and saved this extra cost. It is with a sad heart that I bring news that Floyd Basden, the past ABATE of SC Area Coordinator for CSRA and Dixie Thunder Chapter, has passed away. NOTE! Great Success! Everyone pulled together to help this family and I just learned today the house has been purchased and will be delivered on Monday. Great Work Everyone!!!
An Aiken County family has a lot to be thankful for this weekend. Last Sunday, the Keenan family lost their home to a fire. They’re part of a big biker community, and today they all got together to raise money for the family. Folks stopped by the Waffle House in Clearwater for a bake sale in honor of the Keenan’s.
