Rooster and Family Lost everything in a fire

Kenneth, Holly, Kennie Marie and Nicholas Keenan.  All I know is the fire broke out Sunday night while Holly and Nicholas were in bed and Kenneth and their daughter Kennie Marie were watching TV.  He smelled smoke and went to investigate, by that time the fire was well on its way under the house and into the walls.

Seemed to have started int he dryer.  By the time they got everyone out and what few things they could, the house was an inferno.  The fire department responded in less that 10 minutes, but they lost everything and what didn’t burn was either melted, smoke and soot damaged or water damaged.

I was in the trailer yesterday and cried, it wasn’t much to some but it was home to them and their kids knew no other home.  Rooster and Holly work hard and have been dealt some circumstances, but they are always there to support others and anything the biker community does.

We have already given them a little money, I have some more collected that I will make sure they get.  I have a garage and truck full of clothes that they will go through this evening to get what they need for now.  I will keep the rest until they get somewhere where they can hang up and store more.

We have collected food, toiletries, a microwave, blankets, towels and I have a list of household items already that people are willing to donate once they get a permanent place.

We have families that are taking them food so they have home cooked meals and they get some company to show them people care about them.  I have had several offer their homes for them to stay in, but they will move into his sisters house coem Wednesday.

We have a guy standing by to help him move the old trailer off the lot once he is ready.  He has a track hoe and can get the trailer in dumpsters for Rooster at no charge.

The Waffle House in Clearwater  (The one across the street from the Bilo Shopping center)

Waffle House
4390 JEFFERSON DAVIS
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC 29842

is holding a car wash and bake sale Saturday at 10:30 am with all proceeds going to them.  If you can help please do, otherwise pass the word for people to go by and donate.  This is big because Waffle House normally won’t do things like this.

So any financial help is needed and would be appreciated.  They will need to get a new place to live in as soon as they get the old place gone. I talked to Rooster and he already has a possible plan to get a new (used) trailer.  I will keep track of that and keep everyone posted.

I know they appreciate all you are doing and I know God will be pleased.

God Bless,

Wayne

  1. It looks like the Waffle House bake sale was well attended and so far we have raised about $1600 for the Keenan family
